every commercial needs about 300% more bunnies:
How is it that Russian spam finds my inbox? It's in the Cyrillic alphabet and everything. Poo on that. Have you seen reruns of 80's religious programming where they city Revalation and some kind of mention of a bear, and they swear that Russia is going to start the next world war? They need to edit their bible prophecies for the rapture-obsessed peeps of today. The rest of us can all play Tetris.

I can't begin to describe how cool of a concept I feel that The Black & White Cookie Review Blog is. I am greatly amused.
I've got to say that I love Mexican food, but the food Americans think of as Mexican is actually Tex-Mex and THAT is my favorite type of Mexican food. I was thinking about this yesterday because there were some fabu dining establishments out in Baltimore while I was living there. One was The Golden West Cafe which cranked out the absolute best Huevos Rancheros you'll ever have in your life!
Anyhow, I was feeling texymexy last night so I found the following crock pot recipe:
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 lbs. boneless pork top loin (the butcher told me to cube up top loin pork chops)
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/2 t salt
1/8 t white pepper
1/2 t cumin seeds
1/2 t dried oregano leaves
15 oz. can chili beans in sauce, undrained
14 oz. can diced tomatoes with onions and garlic, undrained
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups frozen corn
Add onions and garlic to crock pot, then cut pork into 1-1/2" cubes and place on top of onions. In small bowl, mix cornmeal, salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano. Sprinkle over pork cubes and mix to coat. Add undrained chili beans, undrained tomatoes and chicken broth to pork mixture.
Cover crockpot and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until pork is thoroughly cooked. Add corn, cover crockpot and cook on high until stew is thoroughly heated.

I'm making an effort to keep the supah blog healthy and alive. A part of this mission is to add a lot more illustrations here. I'm hoping to buy a wacom tablet soon so I can post doodles too. I found a 6x8 Intuos 3 for $258 shipped, so this may be a late birthday gift for myself, but really it's kind of a studio tool. I am feeling the need to be more prolific in general. Art keeps playing second fiddle to knitting and that's not really why I got my masters.

I love my nike+ gadget, as you may have seen, I'm figuring out how to post runs. The only problem is that if you record your entire runs and include your cooldown time the pace time adds like a whole minute to the run. I guess I should just count the minutes RUN. But maybe I shouldn't care as much. I think it's a lot of fun. Also I can't count all my workouts since I usually only run every other time-so I wish Nike had a way to input secondary non-cardio type workouts. It's a lot of fun for exactly what it is though. It has helped me take time off my runs in just a few weeks. Too much fun. I hightly recommend it. You need an iPod, shoes that you can either attach the sensor to (running stores sell sensor attachment devices so you don't need the Nike shoes) or Nike shoes, and the $30 kit thingie. I would love to know if anyone else I know has one because you can challenge eachother with the Nike site. Go team!
