Peanut Butter Popcorn Balls

We made these for our Halloween Costume Ball a couple of years ago, thought I would give out the recipe because everyone loved them. Enjoy! Happy Halloweenies!
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup Reece's Pieces

Line a baking sheet or work surface with waxed paper; set aside.
Stir sugar, corn syrup, butter and peanut butter together in a large saucepan.
Bring to a full boil over medium heat.
Stir in popcorn until well coated.
Remove pan from heat and stir candy pieces gently into mixture.
Allow mixture to cool just enough to allow handling.
Using an ice cream scoop or buttered hands, shape mixture into 2-inch balls and place on waxed paper to cool.

I just realized i listened to the wrong undergraduate academic advisor.
When I once asked about getting into illustration work, she told me it takes YEARS AND YEARS and advised against it. She said it took too long to build up clients & it would be too hard basically. In the years since, I had TWO job interviews at completely different companies and different eras of my life tell me I should be in illustration.
I don't have the first clue what I don't know about how to be an illustrator. I guess that is an FML. I wonder what I'm going to do when I grow up.
