Here we go!

My husband was so kind to set up a mini set/studio to get started with the documentation. I figure a few at a time will do nicely!

Moonstruck Pinnacle

I theorize that Nick Cage has some kind of terrible expensive substance addiction that perpetuates his constant poor choice in film roles - pretty much since Moonstruck. Can you remember anything good since? What happened???

Incidents of String Cheese

Do not waste your money on Sargento String Cheese, instead, go for the cheapo light 24 pack of Frigo Cheese Heads Light String Cheese for reals -the light is way better. My dietician recommended more calcium. Sucks. But at least these are supah good! You would think that for your money, the Sargentos would be better, but alas - they were shrimpy and dry. The other stuff was way yummier - there was more in each snack, and supah tasty.

first pump meeting

My first meeting to be placed on an insulin pump was today. It went very well and I got the green light so far! I just need to take some detailed records for the next two weeks. But the really nice thing about today is the overall positive move forward. Also, if I keep my Hba1c around at least 6 – we can start thinking about babytown.

Weird Ugly Nike Dream

Yesterday evening, during a nap, I had this crazy dream I was working really hard walking my cousin Lisa around a hospital hallway (while she was eyeing a cute doctor and dragging an IV wheelie thingie around) I was walking backwards in front of her, trying to get her to swish her hospital gown around as if it were a beautiful ball gown. I remember wearing a fun summery dress, sorta retro, in buttercup yellow, strapless with a big swooshy skirt. I remember thinking to myself that I need to get one when I woke up (yes - in my dream I was making mental shopping notes). Anyhow, here's where it gets weirder and minorly interesting: I was looking to purchase a compact car in my dream. I found one I really liked that looked just like, (now, this is what I was thinking in my dream) an ugly Nike shoe. This Nike in particular. Now-the reason I thought it would have been so perfect: I totally knew the car would be perfect, because I wanted to paint the exterior plaid and change the interior to red and green for Christmas.

I love weird dreams.

i found a new kind of pump

a very strange device with no tubing. Which seems very attractive to me. I’ve been using insulin pens for almost the 10 years I’ve been on insulin.

Here’s the website for the omnipod.

knitting callus. I has one.
I thought I was developing a (eek!) wart on my finger. It took until I was in the waiting room at the Dr.'s office, where I tend to bring along something to work on so I don't get so anxious & nervous and run away home.
Extreme knitting part II
too much knitting, I suppose.
I should be making paintings and drawings instead. It's just that knitting is so portable and less disruptive.
