The unbelieveable has happened- my mom got a kitten! Isn't she cute? She's naming her Frangelica Bianca. I told her the perfect nickname is Geli Bean. AW!!!!!! She looks like a redheaded Oslo with more fuzz.

I think my old best friend used to have one of these freaky things. Are they the same thing that they used to sell at Cedar Point? Like the invisible dog on the leash?

Maybe we should get one of these instead of a doggie?
I keep bugging Adam to buy me a doggie. So far I went through a Daschund phaze (because I saw on tv that someone named their Daschund "Pepperoni" and I thought it was so dang funny.) Then I jumped over to French Bulldogs, but though these dogs are extremely cute they are also EXTREMELY expensive (why?). Me being a real cheapo- I'm now onto Boston Terriers like this cute guy. I haven't had a dog since I was a little kid. I don't know why I want one, but I do. I don't want our house to smell like animals, but I suspect it already smells like cat. Maybe the dog will balance it out?

This inkblot test was neat, but I don't understand where I would have the need for 25 pages of analysis for $14.95. $14.95 a month.

ReadyMade is sending their photographer over today. I, being the overly nervous palm-sweating girl, am very anxious. I'll let you all know how it goes. I don't know if they'll even get me in the shots. I'm all freaking out about how I look, even though I usually don't care. The photographer out of Chicago has an excellent portfolio online, check out Lisa's work! She is SUPAH cool.

"...Belaboring the Obvious" a journey through the worst side of the contemporary fine art world. Anyone know if there's a copy of Art School Confidential out there online? That was hilarious! We used to pass the photocopies of that comic around the dorms. Noone could believe someone captured what we were all thinking about silly old art school. The old tampon in a teacup trick- what a riot.

Wow, this project is really really cute. (Minus maybe the rope edges). I like anything made with felt & a blanket stitch. My pillows covers should hit the site shortly, I think I need to do a few before they're ready.

the squirrel girl gets a new hairdo painting
This is definitely going to sound obnoxious, but here goes: I don't think I'm supposed to like my own paintings so much- I LOVE this one. Maybe I should keep it. I dont' know. No I'll share the love. There's Copper glittery paint throughout and a lot of green & pink- so you know I couldn't screw it up if I tried. People in my personal advisory panel thought I should exclusively do squirrel girl series. Maybe they're right because I get lost in all of my silly projects. (This painting is 18"X18" & I should have it in ths shop soon!)

Hey all you postmodern fans out there: open this in your browser and keep it open all day. Make your co-workers think you are the next Dennis Adrian!

I just spent a few days in my hometown for a visit from my brother who relocated to Florida. On my way home, I found an awesome big independant old style used & new Lowry's bookstore in Three Rivers, Mi. It reminded me a little of Powell's in Chicago. I found a great indoor gardening book and two vintage Walter Foster art books, which I didn't exactly get them for the instruction, but more so for the fantastically crazy cover art.

AWESOME! Check out the Global Schoolyard Rhyme Project containing a classic from Israel (translated):
Steve the fat guy,
within his stomach there's a child.
What's the child's name?
Steve the fat guy!

My friend from Hong Kong taught me one in Cantonese that when translated had something to do with an old man eating smelly cheese and doing the "discomo" (disco). I should get her to submit it because I only remember bits of it.

We've all seen too many goofy email attachment photos of kitties, but I laughed so hard I was crying at this. I don't know why. I think it's the title.
