These words keep going through my head while packing: "I'm searching for a home via Chicago". Since 1994. I was 18! Things are scary. crazy. turned upside down. Like walking into a dark room. I don't know whats there, I have to figure everything out after I get there. Last day of schmerk is tomorrow. Last day in Chicago is Saturday. Meet me out Thursday night if you can.
I want the I ♥ Sushi & Beer one.

Another movie we CONSTANTLY rented in the 80's: Stand By Me. Here's my favorite scene that someone has so kindly transcribed. I loved that lardass. BOOM BABBA!
Monkey Race! Someone should tell all the people raising pitt bulls for dog fights that there's something else out there.

Remember Faerie Tale Theatre on video? We used to go to Curtis Mathes to rent movies, they would always be there. I think we rented Mr. Mom and Strange Brew at least 41 times. Though I don't remember actually sitting and watching them that many times, when they're on tv now I can recite 5 full minutes of dialogue along with either film. Yes, that's 5 minutes straight.
I used to think differently than most people on some pretty basic and standard things in life.
-I don't believe in numbers. To me they're a language (math). Someone made them up and if we didn't have ten fingers on our hands things would be a lot different.
-I used to have a great fear of my house rolling over. I used to sit in my room and strategically plan the path I would take to the cieling to avoid being crushed by the furniture in the room. I think this idea stemmed from a scene in Poltergeist.
-Something else I used to think and still wonder if it's true: people with different eye colors see the same color differently. For example, you have brown eyes I have blue eyes- the color yellow you see is the color red to me. Get it?
-I used to think that if you can't see someone, they can't see you. I was proven wrong very early with that one.
-Inatimate objects have emotions and or souls. It's hard for me to throw things away.

When I was looking for a picture of Carrington last night, I found a photo I took the first time I went to NYC.

Rest in Peace, Carrington (aka chicky-chicky) 1986-2003
I feel so sad, our kitty had to be put to sleep yesterday. He had started to drool constantly so my parents took him in to the vet. We thought it was a bad tooth, but it turned out to be bone cancer. He had a broken jaw & three teeth missing. I feel so bad that he was in pain for so long and we had no idea. I feel even worse because no one said good bye to him and I put him in the box to take him in to the doctor without saying so-long. They said his blood work came back perfect but he would only get worse. No one was there to say goodbye. Poor kitty.

Something even more strange is this painting I did in grad school. It was a progression of the places I had lived in at the time: 1-Mich, 2-Chicago, 3-Baltimore. Since that time I moved back to Chicago and now off to Mich... therefore my life is a palindrome. Spooky boos!
So-change is good, right?
I'm going to be working in Southwestern Michigan I won't start until April 1st. The company Adam has been working for since January 1st is already making cutbacks (including his salary). This means we can't cover the costs of an apartment for March, which means all our stuff is going into storage while I help my parents move into their new house and Adam sleeps on someone's couch. Weird, huh?

What do I say to you, Chicago? You've been good to me. But I have to leave you. In two weeks I will no longer qualify to be in the Chicago Bloggers webring.
When I was a kid my grandma had a big coffee can full of buttons. I used to look through them and pick out my favorites. My dad used to own a drycleaners in Jackson where they also kept a collection. My brother and I used to take a button and do this with the really big ones. Go team dork!

Believe it or Not! OMG! I found it! Enjoy.
The Greatest American Hero
Hey- I liked the theme song to that show... a lot like the Busom Buddies theme song. Wow. I was 5 when the show premiered. Believe it or not, it's just me.
Never knew it existed, MTV's Remote Control: The Nintendo Game. It looks really craptastically boring.
After a hiatus of some time, Cakewalk Magazine has come out with Issue #5. Go go go go!

Me like: Stina Persson
I want to be invisible too! Maybe I can make my own version by Halloween. That would be really creepy. How does it work? I THINK IT'S THEM LASERS!
Maybe a craft project would help me to relax. Who wants to come to my house and make one of these? That thing is funny.

Splurge! I ordered myself a rock star calendar since I don't have one and it's February... clearance is fun! I also got some retro valentines & a nice nancy notebook. Everything was about 20 bux! GO TEAM! I forgot about that store till Mr. Andrew mentioned it yesterday. I also forgot that Dana Carlson is my little twin star. I love her work.
I want the Umk Monkey! Found here. He's a mysterious floating monkey that only says "UMK!"

We sat in the kitchen where the waiter was sweating. He was so nice!
We celebrated my brother Marty's Birthday Feb. 5th.
We celebrated my golden Birthday too!
Adam even wore a funny hat! He's so cute! I love that.
Thank you Mom & Dad!!!
