This weekend was quite fun. I left for michigan right after work on friday... Adam was ready to roll on east on the tollway... we got to jackson by about 10(?) and hung out with mom & dad watching movies.... the fun part was saturday, I played with my niece rachel, and went out on M-60 driving through the farmlands just south of I-94 all the way to new buffalo, michigan where we camped for the night. that was great fun, even though it was freeeeezing, i could see my breath in the tent! and i wasnt smoking!

Ok...so after leaving the ugly underworld of Universal Music Group..and attempting to make my way into such illustrious affairs as Playboy and House of Blues...I'm going country radio. As of tomorrow I'm the new Office Manager at US99 in Chicago...yeehaw.

We are moving up the street next week to new offices. its nice because I don't have to do much. Pack some boxes, and voila! I work at a new place! haaazzzah! adam went to rocky ford yesterday to play perfect dark. he came home at 1am saying something about this great shot he made (the guy was coming to kill him, and he shot the dude in time... errr something)

the hippy nightmare

I was supposed to be watching my grandpa's house, when all of a sudden they broke in through the screen door. expecting on having a party or something... i told them all they had to leave, and that i would get in trouble if they continued to party at grandpa's house. they left and i locked the door. several times they broke back in, and the last time i kicked them out, iwent back up stairs and all my friends that were hanging out watching tv had left.
i had that dream when i was still at the art institute, and i think it had to do with allowing that art school culture to invade into my psyche.

aw jeez.... i had to leave lazarus in michigan, because his part was the wrong part. but i got to see my sister & her kids, who were so totally funny. Rachel, Nicholas and Courtney. They dressed up Saturday night for a Halloween party, Rachel was Snow White, Nicholas was a scary skeleton guy, and Courtney who just turned 4 months old, was a cute Ladybug. Mom & Dad were fun too. Lisa is on her way to Florida to pick up my Aunt to move back to Michigan, which is very cool... I miss her alot.
I missed Adam and my pussy galore and i'm glad to be back home.

I am going to Jackson this weekend... I have to get Lazarus (my 97 Mercury Tracer) fixed, and the cheapest place was there... Adam is going to watch the world series at home, so I shall miss him. I am planning on a nice fall weekend in the Great Lake State. I miss my dad a lot, after watching Hud last night there was a character that reminded me a lot of him. *yippeee!*

Adam went to get the title out of his house to get his car out of our city's corrupted tow lot somewhere on Sacramento. When he looked at the title he realized that they had made a typo when they created the title. On the application form, it has Adam's first & last name, and his mom's first & last name. But on the title it has Adam's first name with Adam's mommy's LAST name. Big mess. Big, big mess. I'm moving.

today is officially a bad day. adam's had some bad luck with Lurleen, his 1982 Honda Prelude. First it was shot through the front windshiled in MY neighborhood, that shattered the back window. After calling me with that news, we called around for quotes.... while this was going on the wonderful city of CHicago towed it to the city lot, and when they were towing, they ruined one of the back tires. I don't know where the money is going to come from.

We went to the rally at UIC here in Chicago last night. I felt good that I went, and I know a lot more than I did before.
We also saw Michael Moore, Jello Biafra, Eddie Vedder, Studs Terkel, Phil Donohue and Eddie Vedder's mommy.

Last weekend

I did the following:

• Drove for 2.5 hours through the suburbs
• was accidentally kicked in the nose (nose may be broken-again)
• sprained my wrist
• poured hot wax from a pumpkin scented candle into my boyfriend's lap

• saw The Exorcist (something I never thought I would ever be able to actually sit through--and I still wasn't sure I would be able to sit through it because of the enormous amount of diet coke I consumed)
• Met a dog named Skeeter
• finally saw Drunken Master after seeing the second one long ago
• Spent 2 nights in Rockford, IL
• watched approximately 2 hours of Perfect Dark without ever playing
• attended an excellent backyard bonfire
• and the best thing I did this weekend was to go see my friend in Rockford's art show, which went very well for her
• Won a Presidential Furby at the movie theatre

i'm in rockford for the weekend. i've got monday off for columbus day. that's the one good thing about working for a company that's on a teacher's schedule. unfortunately they don't give the webdesigners the summer off with pay.
